This pathways & patio project highlighted both the pitfalls of concrete, and benefits of stone pavers. Concrete can be a heavy application alongside a house, and often results in extreme shifting. Added to the inevitable cracking, concrete can often become both a hazard and terrible to look at.
Once removed and replaced with interlocking pavers, not only is the weight load decreased- but any future shifting is easily fixed due to nature of the interlocking pavers. We chose the Boardwalk paver to create these unique and stylish pathways.
The pathways begins at the city sidewalk up to the front door, and then alongside the house continuing through to the back lane. The pathway opens up to a small area at the front and a larger patio off the raised wooden deck at the rear. The versatility of interlocking pavers is highlighted perfectly.
The unique angle of the deck allowed us to play with the angles and format of the pavers. When using interlocking pavers there really is no limitation to design, shape and texture. Carefully selected trees and shrubs complete this amazing transformation, and provide a great landscape for the customers home.
